AUGUST 2008
Hosergåården
It's fitting that the last beer brewed at our original Clarkehead Brewery facility be Hosergåården, our Belgian Summer Ale. It has epitomized our line-up of beers since we started here in early Spring of 2003. And it's got the word "garden" in it, which we'll no longer have (but happy to live without).
While this beer may not taste a thing like the original Hoegaarden, you'll still love this refreshing white ale. Recalling the age before hops were used and spices were added to give bitterness to beer, this brew has a really spicy aroma with strong coriander notes. You'll taste orange and coriander throughout, followed by a light, dry finish.
Much lower in alcohol than most Clarkehead brews, Hosergåården will not leave you feeling like a hoser in my garden, because I won't have one of those for long. And as our good friend Oren says "Live like there's no tomorrow. Play like . . . there's work tomorr . . . eh, or something."
As our days at the current location wind down, we encourage you to stop and enjoy a glass of the beer that sums up our entire experience here.
OG: 13.5º plato
ABV: 5.2%

Father Spoon and SickPuppy from the podcast Should I Drink That? recently tasted both Black Cat Stout and Clarkeweizen on their show and gave both beers awesome reviews.
Listen to their show here. Thanks again to SIDT for their continued support of Clarkehead Brewery. |

Should I Brew That?
Always wanted to homebrew but could never take that first step?
Too intimidated by other homebrewers to ask those “stupid” questions?
If you answered yes to these questions, visit this new site from Sick Puppy of Should I Drink That? Read his adventures as he ventures back into homebrewing after a 7-year layoff. Every batch he brews is carefully documented, and the site is updated quite regularly. |
